Does Concealer ACUTALLY work??

to cover pimples and belmishes??Does Concealer ACUTALLY work??
yes if you use it correctly... try using corrector concealers the one that are weird colors like peach, green, and violet.

the whole idea is that colors opposite on the color spectrum cancel out each other... therefore... red pimples can be canceled out by green concealer, yellow is canceled out by purple etc. try vincent longo's concealer it works really really well. also keep in mind you can reduce the need to use concealer by having a really good skincare regimen... the better you take care of your skin , choosing the right cleanser, astrigent, moisturizer etc will benefit you more. if you have dark circles you sholuld at least invest in a concealer a shade or two lighter than your skintone to cover that up and see how much it improves yur face.Does Concealer ACUTALLY work??
yes but if you use them the proper way
Yes but I did read somewhere that if you apply the foundation first then apply the concealer and lightly blend you will have better results. They said when you apply the concealer and then cover it with foundation that you just end up covering up the work of the concealer.

Hope this was helpful ~~
yes if you use it right.
yes , but use the concealer after foundation. It covers pimples better. Be sure to blend well to prevent caking.
Yea...

I use one by Rimmel called 'Hide the Blemish' its reasonably cheap compared to other brands! and it comes in several diffrent shades - and it kinda looks like a lip stick! it blends really well and is great for under eye circles!
I can't live without it. I use the Physicians formula concealer sticks in light. I put on the concealer, set it with a loose, translucent powder, and cover it with my foundation and more loose powder. I always get compliments on how smooth and pretty my complexion is, even if I have a few pimples.

Don't conceal them. Fade them away.

I use papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are

available on line. Maybe it will work on you too.

Try searching it through Google 'shopaholic's bargains'

These work wonders.

A concealer for oily skin?

I need a concealer for oily skin. I have some blemishes and VERY dark circles? Could you recommend something to me? I was thinking that new mac one in that little paint pot thing... but I don't know.

Gracias!A concealer for oily skin?
i have the same problem! i use the MAC studio fix concealer and i love it....its like a matte finish and i need that cuz i get the shiny all over my face :/ the concealer is really good and it lasts a long time tooA concealer for oily skin?
First, I would get a moisturizer that helps with oily skin, otherwise the concealer isn't going to do much for you. I have a moisturizer called La Roche Posay Effaclar K http://blog.pharmacymix.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/la-roche-posay-effaclar-k.jpg after that i use the Mac paint pot which works really well as a concealer (You can find one that matches your skin tone perfectly). Hope this helps!
acid. lots of acid.

  • Whats your favorite foundation, powder, or concealer?

first apply neutrogena liquid foundation (color depends on your skintone) get two colors, one thats lighter than your skin and one thats a bit darker hue. Apply evenly. Then use MAC foundation over it, then dab Neutrogena face powder. You will look dewy and

i lovve the ever fresh makeup by maybelline! it stays put and doesn't feel masky..hope this helpsWhats your favorite foundation, powder, or concealer?
    mac
    anything MAC
    Clinique
I hate foundation so I wear BareMinerals and I use maybelline true match concealer under my eyes.
    powder is my favorite.
L'OREAL paris- FEEL NATURALE; comes in all shades...if new to you they have small trial container tubes-shades to compare to your natural shade. It goes on very smooth not greasy or tacky and has multivitamins in it to feed your skin. Has spf15 for sun care. It is worth every drop.
    Beauticontrol

    Perfecting Wet/Dry Finish foundation

You can sponge it on dry for a natural look, or wet for a more flawless look and you can use it throughout the day as a powder IF you get shiney. It's lightweight so it feels great. It's easy to apply. It lasts four to five months depending on how much you use. It applies to a matte finish so you don't need an additional powder to use with it. And you won't leave evidence of your foundation on all your friends clothes, the phone, or anything else you happen to brush your face against. Great for combination to oily skin. It won't break you out either.

Use it with the Extra Help Concealer and you have an outstanding combination.

I have always had problems with foundation feeling too heavy, disappearing from my face halfway through the day, and causing breakouts. This is the best foundation and concealer I've tried.

They also have a skin care line called ';All Clear'; that is outstanding if you have a problem with acne. And when I do get the occasional pimple from hormones, I use the All Clear Blemish Due that has a gel to dry up the acne and then a concealer acne cream to help cover it while it heals.

Do u apply foundation first or concealer during make up?

Foundation first. Then concealer. Applying foundation over concealer will rub off the concealer, and concealer is just for camouflaging the spots your foundation couldn't cover up by itself.

You should always select a foundation and concealer that match your skin tone exactly. Light comes forward, draws attention, while dark recedes. You don't want your pimples to be brighter than the rest of your face, do you? However, for your undereye circles or dark spots, you might want to go one shade lighter to counterbalance the darkness. Some people find they don't have to do this, or when they do, it gives them a reverse-racoon look.Do u apply foundation first or concealer during make up?
concealer then foundation but make sure you dont just apply the foundation to your face make sure you rut it down the neck and rub so ya dont look fake i see alot of ppl do this and it aint attractive hun...Do u apply foundation first or concealer during make up?
    actually it depends
    If you have blotches, discolorations, red areas, or blemishes, concealer always first. Use yellow for dark purple under eye circles and green for any red areas, remember to blend well without removing too much, then apply foundation and the rest of your makeup. Just remember this saying, ';yellow cancels purple and green cancels red.';
omg no kishy is so wrong, i thought that but then i went to this seminar on make-up and i learnt this

first you apply foundation on the bags under your eyes and with your fingers spread it outwards and then apply it on any spots or anything that you want to cover up, then you put on foundation everywhere excpet for the places you have put the concealer on the bags under your eyes. make sure that u always use a concealer one lighter shade than your foundation.. xxx
I apply concealer first because it's slightly darker than my foundation and skin colour. For me I can blend it more if I do it in that order.
concealer first--once the blemishes are reduced, foundation's just to even your tone out a bit [if you even need it at that point]

foundation first then if you dont have enough coverage for them blemishes or spots then add concealer. if you add concealer first, then your foundation, you can't tell when you put your concealer on how much you will need of it! hope that helps ya luv!!!
You need to apply your concealer first and then your foundation. Your concealer is made of heavier substance and has to blend into your skin tone before you apply your foundation.
concealer, to cover up spots, then foundation to give you an all-over colour.
apply foundation first. You'll find that the foundation can cover up some blemishes, then after it's been worked in, look over and see what still requires foundation.
my beauty control products just make things worst. so, i just have a bowl of special kay in the morning then read my clarikaa report called loopholes....its great read on the throne after my yogurt
That's a great question.... Go to the maybelline website they have videos of the proper way to apply makeup..

I've always said concealer first but since watching the videos I know better now....
for me i think applying concealer is the first thing u should do when putting on make-up. u want to cover up your under eye circle, and any acne or acne scars. than apply foundation to even out your skin color.

Ladies please help! BEST under eye concealer?

What is the BEST concealer for dark undereye circles? I'm looking for a concealer not a cream. Also, it is not caused from lack of sleep so please don't just suggest I get more sleep. Thanks.Ladies please help! BEST under eye concealer?
Yves Saint Laurentt - Touche Eclait

    best seller ;)

amazing stuff and lasts for agesLadies please help! BEST under eye concealer?
I use Artistry Makeup Concealer. It works the best for me. I have dark circles under my eyes as well but this product has really worked for me. It really does make a difference and hides the darkness. I love mine, and I haven't found any other brand that has helped as much as this. Hope this has helped out! :) Good luck. I've added the link for the concealer below.
L'Oreal has very nice concealer that comes in the traditional lipstick-style tube. I love it because it is creamy and glides on smooth.
    Clarins..

    works for me!
I recommend Arbonne's concealers in a one shade lighter than your skin. Their products are more natural than most and the concealer is awesome. I would also recommend applying concealer with a concealer brush. You can get a brush at any discount/drug store. It will give you a more precise application.

I know you mentioned that you didn't want an eye cream, but I would strongly suggest one with kojic acid, which is a natural skin lightener. I love Arbonne's NutriMinC RE9 Eye Cream. It lasts FOREVER and naturally lightens the skin around the eye while strenghtening that skin and therefore, keeping wrinkles, etc. away.
Benefit's Boi-ing conclealer is really good. Its not specifically for under the eyes i dont think but its a great concealer as far as blemishes go. Covers everything right up so it should work really good for dark circles as well. Its a bit expensive initially but it'll honestly last you ages. Its the only concealer i'll ever use and my skin is far from perfect lol
    If you're in the U.K.

The mineral powder make-ups cover amazingly well and are good for your skin....research the type you use though because some of them have additives that aren't so good for your skin...find one that is pure minerals like Bella Pierre and a couple others...they can be expensive so try looking on auction sites for deals.
