Know anything about concealer?

Should concealer be lighter or darker than your skintone? Also, what concealer do you use and love? Thanks in advanceKnow anything about concealer?
I think it should be a shade lighter because usually you would put a foundation of the same shade of your skin over it. MAC has really good concealer but since I'm a poor former college student(darn student loans), I use Maybelline's True Match line. It works really well for me but they don't have a whole lot of different shades. Also, I've heard the Iman concealers are really good as well and not too expensive like MAC is.Know anything about concealer?
slightly lighter, but almost a match (you want dark areas to match the rest of your face).

I use MAC concealer and foundation, and I love them both. It's expensive, but after trying cover girl and others in that price range, and finding that those didn't conceal much, I was just happy to find one that worked!
Your concealor should be a shade or two lighter than your actual skint tone. If you have trouble finding one and you use foundation, it shouldn't be a big issue, but when wearing alone, use a nice pressed powder to set it. It is also a lot easier to find a powder that matches. I love covergirl. Also, if all else fails, try going to your local drug store and ask one of the pepolpe there to help you. Hope it helped!
Concealer should match your skintone. It is no longer fashionable to have lighter concealer underneath your eyes. Right now I use ';amazing concealer.'; That is the only thing this company makes and it really covers. It can be found online at sephora and also in their bigger stores.
Concealer should match your skin tone. To test out colors you can do a stripe test with two or more colors on the side of cheek then pick which one blends in the most with your skin tone.

I use MaryKay.
I use a concealer made by Mary Kay...it works awesome. I also get it a shade lighter than my foundation.
It should be one shade lighter than your skin tone. I use MAC's concealer, its pretty good.
Concealer should be slightly lighter or match exactly. It depends what you are trying to hide. Remember that you need to match the basic undertones of your skin - pink, gold or neutral.

I really like the Dermablend line of comestics - you have to get the setting powder but the stuff just does not come off. Really stays on for the whole day.
concealer should be the same color as your skintone so that it doesnt show. Loreal has many different colors
It should be slightly lighter than your skintone because how else are you going to brighen up those under eye circles? Darker shades just emphasis it. Apply it with a latex sponge and go over it with a translucent powder to set it.

MAC concealer is the best because it makes such a noticeable difference that you can't even tell how late I stayed up the night before. It's a bit pricey at $20, but it's well worth the investment.

Be sure to replace your concealer at least every 3-4 months because it starts looking cakey and bacteria begins to form, disgusting. Replace your latex sponge weekly and clean your brushes weekly as well.
The concealer should be slightly darker than you skin tone, but it's VERY important that the undertones match as close as possible e.g. yellow/yellow orange/red orange, etc. This is the key to a perfect concealer look. It should really just look like you skin, but better!

Some of the best concealers are by Amazing Cosmetics, Three Custom Color Cosmetics and Laura Mercier Concealer.
